Two friends talk about God when something unexpected happens. This one minute film is currently a finalist in the 2006/2007 New York Minute Film Festival in the Drama Category. Nymff. Believer: Okay, but where did the first organism come from? And how did the universe come to be? If everything were random, what are the chances that we would be standing here right now? It's intelligent design. God has to exist. Atheist: Okay, war, disease, poverty, death? How can you explain all that if God really loves us? He could stop it all if he wanted to with a flick of a switch. But he doesn't. Believer: But that's because of free will. Atheist: God supposedly knows everything. God knows every thought and every action anyone will ever do. Your life has already been planned out for you, thus you have no choice or free will. God knew about Stalin, God knew about Hitler, but did nothing to stop it. Believer: But that's-- Atheist: But nothing. You can't explain it. You can't fight it. You can't prove his existence. God doesn't exist!
