That's a great point. I know I'm not going to be able to completely tune out the sound, but I think maybe as an experiment the next time I'm out dancing I'll try to just feel the vibrations and try moving to that as opposed to sound. Should be interesting!

my friend is deaf, and she goes to regular raves.the vibrations are enough for her to feel the music.

It's because they rely on their sense of feel and when the sound waves vibrate off the floor and peoples bodies, they know what the beat is. Where hearing people rely on sound and not feelings of vibrations. It is interesting, I agree.

I find it interesting that the deaf people were dancing better and more to the beat than a lot of "hearing" folks I see at clubs :)

The guy in the red track suit was the best dancer. For all the ignorant people out there: Deaf people can still feel the music so why wouldn't there be music at the rave? Duh.
